Job description
An established and highly respected financial planning firm in Sutton Coldfield is making a key strategic hire and is looking to appoint a Senior Paraplanner to support one of the firm's senior advisers.
This is a newly created position for a paraplanner who genuinely enjoys operating at the very top of their technical ability. It offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional, client-focused financial planning within a business that values quality over quantity.
The Opportunity
The firm is known for its high standards and client-first ethos. Every piece of advice is tailored, considered and delivered with real depth. As such, the paraplanning function sits at the heart of the business.
You will be trusted with complex work, given autonomy, and expected to contribute at a senior level. This is a role for someone who takes pride in their craft and wants to be recognised for technical excellence.
The Role
Working closely with a senior adviser, you will:
- Provide senior-level paraplanning support on complex client cases
- Produce high-quality, bespoke suitability reports with exceptional attention to detail
- Carry out detailed research across investments, pensions, tax and estate planning
- Be heavily involved in client-focused work, ensuring advice is clear, robust and compliant
- Act as a technical reference point within the business
- Contribute to maintaining and continually improving paraplanning standards
About You
This role will suit someone who:
- Is an experienced paraplanner operating comfortably at senior level
- Is technically strong and confident handling complex planning scenarios
- Is ideally Chartered, or close to achieving Chartered status
- Has a mature, professional approach and strong communication skills
- Is deeply client-focused and understands the importance of delivering best-in-class advice
- Is committed to a long-term career in paraplanning rather than moving into advice
Salary & Benefits
- Salary between £50,000 and £60,000, depending on experience
- Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 from home
- Private medical insurance
- Death in service cover
- Bonus
If you're a senior paraplanner who enjoys depth, complexity and delivering outstanding outcomes for clients, this is a role well worth exploring.
