An award-winning UK law firm is looking for a Principal Associate to join its highly regarded Pensions team in London. The role
As a Principal Associate, you'll advise on a wide range of pensions issues, including:
- Trustee and sponsor advisory work for schemes from small to multi-billion pounds.
- Risk transfer exercises (buy-ins, buy-outs, and consolidations).
- Scheme mergers, wind-ups, and restructurings.
- Benefit change exercises, liability management, and GMP equalisation.
- Investment issues and scheme documentation.
You'll also have the chance to raise your profile in the market, mentor junior lawyers, and play a key role in business development initiatives.
About you
We're looking for a qualified solicitor (6+ years' PQE) with:
- A strong track record advising trustees and employers on pensions matters.
- Experience leading on risk transfer projects and strategic pensions work.
- Excellent drafting, technical, and client relationship skills.
- A collaborative approach and proven ability to supervise and support junior lawyers.
- Commercial awareness and confidence in engaging with stakeholders across sectors.
