Personal Wealth Advisor

Job description

A leading national financial planning business is looking to appoint a qualified Personal Wealth Adviser to join its Financial Planning division in Oxford.
This is an employed role within a well-established, growing organisation backed by a major UK banking group and a global asset management firm. The business operates on a salary and bonus model, with no product-based commissions, ensuring advice remains fully aligned to client outcomes.

The Opportunity

As a New Client Adviser, you will focus primarily on on-boarding new clients, with the majority of introductions coming from an established internal referral network. This provides a consistent flow of high-quality leads, allowing you to focus on delivering advice rather than self-generating business.
You will:

  • Conduct virtual client meetings via phone and video
  • Deliver holistic financial planning advice across pensions, investments and protection
  • Build strong initial client relationships and guide them through their early journey
  • Manage the relationship during the first three months before transitioning clients to an ongoing servicing team
  • Promote the value of ongoing advice and long-term financial planning
  • Maintain high professional and regulatory standards, including Consumer Duty obligations

This role suits an adviser who enjoys engaging new clients, converting warm introductions into long-term relationships, and delivering structured, high-quality financial advice in a supported environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified (Level 6 / Chartered desirable but not essential)
  • Strong experience conducting client meetings and creating comprehensive financial plans
  • Broad knowledge across pensions, investments and protection
  • Clear understanding of regulatory requirements and best practice advice standards
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment

The Package

  • Competitive basic salary aligned to experience
  • Attractive discretionary bonus structure with clear earning potential
  • Hybrid working model with access to a local Oxford hub
  • 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, with option to buy or sell additional days
  • Enhanced pension contributions
  • Private medical cover
  • Life assurance
  • Flexible benefits allowance
  • Funded professional development and pathway support towards Chartered status

This is an excellent opportunity for an adviser who wants the stability of an employed model, access to strong lead generation, and the backing of a recognised national brand, all while maintaining a client-first approach to financial planning.
