Private Client Lawyer
Job description
An established and well-respected law firm in the region is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join their thriving team in Lincoln. With a longstanding history of this firm offers the opportunity to work on a varied and high-quality caseload within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role:
As an experienced Private Client Lawyer, you will be handling a broad mix of matters including:
- Preparation of Wills, including those involving trusts for complex family and financial arrangements
- Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) planning
- Preparation and registration of Powers of Attorney (EPAs and LPAs)
- Court of Protection applications and related work
- Administration of both taxable and non-taxable estates
- Identification and handling of trust administration requirements
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide a high-quality ongoing service to existing clients
- Collaborate with Partners and Fee Earners to develop new business opportunities
- Contribute to the development and reputation of the department
- Achieve fee income targets and performance objectives
- Stay informed and up to date with changes in law and practice relevant to Private Client work
- Maintain and enhance professional legal skills and technical knowledge
- Consistently deliver work that meets the firm's quality, compliance and risk management standards
About You:
- Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent experience in Private Client law
- Confident, proactive and well-organised approach to work
- Strong technical knowledge across the full range of Private Client matters
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused attitude
- Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
