Restructuring Associate

Job description

Are you a talented restructuring lawyer ready to elevate your career at one of the world's most prestigious law firms? Our client - an elite New York-headquartered firm with a standout global restructuring practice - is seeking a high-performing associate (2-8 PQE) to join their dynamic and expanding London team.

Market-Leading Practice

This is a rare opportunity to work on the most complex, high-profile cross-border restructurings in the market - advising creditors, debtors, sponsors, and distressed investors across Europe, the UK, and beyond.

Truly International Exposure

You'll be part of a global team working seamlessly across jurisdictions on headline matters, including sovereign debt, distressed M&A, special situations, and formal insolvency processes.

Top of Market Remuneration

Enjoy Cravath-scale salary and bonus - significantly above Magic Circle rates - along with a high-performance, collaborative culture.

Strategic Growth, Lean Team

This firm's London office is a strategic priority, offering strong pipelines and excellent partner access. You'll work directly with respected leaders in the restructuring world in a lean, collegiate team where your impact is visible.

What We're Looking For

  • UK-qualified (or equivalent) restructuring associate with 2-8 years' PQE at a leading international firm.
  • Experience in creditor-side, debtor-side, and/or distressed investment matters.
  • Strong technical skills, commercial acumen, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Candidates with experience from Magic Circle, Silver Circle, US, or top-tier boutiques are strongly encouraged.
  • Elite global platform - work alongside renowned practitioners on some of the most significant restructurings in the market.
  • Exceptional training and mentorship - from day one.
  • Long-term career opportunity - this is not just a "seat filler" role. The firm is invested in long-term growth and development in London.
