We have been retained by a leading insurer to start the search for a Senior Audit Controller.... You can be based anywhere within the UK as their incredible growth over the past two years has seen an increase in business in all areas of the UK.
This role is a very technical role and requires the successful applicant to have a combination of both commercial underwriting experience and an element of audit control.
The role incorporates the following;
You will be the key SME and owner within the business with respect to technical underwriting training and support across the regional and offshore underwriting communities across all lines of business.
You will work closely with the audit functions within the head office underwriting teams to ensure high standards are maintained and improvements are implemented as issues arise.
To develop new technical underwriting insight and knowledge to assist the regional underwriting teams in managing the quality of the business they are underwriting.
To lead the professional development process and systems for commercial lines to ensure that training is completed and supervised according to regulatory requirements.
You will Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running the business appropriately to this role, in line with the company risk framework.
To be considered for the role, you must have;
- Previous commercial underwriting experience
- An appreciation in, and enjoyment of, people development
- Understand strategic objectives and business goals
- Communication skills to work with representatives at all levels across Commercial
- Underwriting expertise to write technical training materials
- Underwriting skills to manage underwriters writing technical training materials
