Senior Fleet Underwriter
The reason you may be having a look at job adverts is career progression.
You've already established yourself firmly in the Underwriting space but the next move up the ladder isn't too clear where you are right now.
The idea of moving into management and looking after a team isn't really floating your boat. You're a technical underwriter through and through and that's where your real passion lies.
So logically, you want to develop technically. Have a bit more freedom to make your own decisions. Apply a bit of your own flair to things.
Which is what you'll get here.
Working in a Senior Underwriter capacity, you'll be more aligned to the bigger fleet cases here. Ones up to £750k premium so very much at the higher end of things.
But crucially, if you are stepping up into this role, you'll feel much more empowered to make decisions and have more strategic involvement with your broking partners.
Up and above the day-to-day underwriting of large fleet risks, you'll work strategically with brokers regarding business projections, areas to drive profit and analysing performance to identify areas of improvement.
Working on a hybrid model, you'll have access to the main Glasgow offices but will have plenty of time to get out there in front of your brokers.
Salary here is up to £55,000 plus superb benefits package and annual bonus.
Ideally, you'll have a background in fleet insurance and have sound knowledge of the Scottish broking market.
Oh and don't worry if your CV isn't up to date, I can sort that for you.
