Account Handler/Executive
Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a respected, leading Southwest Insurance broker based in Stroud.
This well-established broker is looking to hire a Commercial Account Handler/Executive to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and developing a portfolio of commercial clients, delivering high-quality service and tailored insurance solutions across a variety of sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a small existing book of commercial clients, handling renewals, MTAs, and new business
- Providing expert advice and support on a wide range of commercial insurance products
- Developing strong working relationships with clients, insurers, and internal teams
- Supporting directors with client development, retention, and growth strategies
- Keeping abreast of market trends and insurer appetite to ensure the best outcomes for clients
Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in commercial insurance broking (essential)
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products (SME to mid-corporate)
- Excellent communication, client relationship, and time-management skills
- Cert CII qualified or working towards (preferred but not essential)
- Motivated, professional, and client-focused approach
