Business Development Executive - Kent
£30,000 - £60,000 + bonus and flexible benefits package including PMI and childcare vouchers
A leading National insurance Broker is looking to expand their Kent-based team with a new business professional.
The team provide cross-class commercial insurance products to clients in a range of industry sectors, along with a professional claims service and advice on risk management. They deal with SME to mid-market insurance business, though they are looking to increase the size of their average risk and target more mid-market/ corporate business.
The Business Development Executive will use their confident people and door-opening skills to build relationships with new prospect clients and articulate effectively the range of products on offer, and the full value-added service. The goal is to persuade the client to give them a full quote and ultimately elect the Broker to mange their insurances, in order to hit the new business target. The Business Developer will also refer product specialists in the team where appropriate. There will be a light-touch client management strategy in the first year, then the clients will be passed over to the servicing team.
The Sales Manager is willing to consider individuals outside of the insurance industry, who have a proven track record in professional sales and achieving targets. However knowledge of commercial insurance products would be attractive and ideally experience of winning new insurance clients. The ability to impress and influence in a prospect meeting is key.
