On joining this independent broking business you'll immediately realise there are still brokerages out there doing things the right way.

Local decision making, sensible approaches to compliance and maximum client contact are all aspects of life here in this Carlisle based brokerage which will appeal if you enjoy proper broking work.

And with today's consolidator congested market, traditional broking environments are getting harder and harder to come by.

You'll be joining a local team of 9. A friendly bunch who've all moved into brand new offices meaning the environment is new for everyone.

Your role here is to support the servicing of mid-corporate level client accounts across a real cross section of industry sectors.

Public sector, technology, distribution, engineering, retail and construction are all key areas you'll be involved in with some of your work being handled in a face-to-face setting.

Utilising Actiris, handling new business placement, MTAs and managing renewals will all firm part of your day-to-day role.

And up and above that you'll have scope to work closely with risk management teams, private clients and linking in directly with the board for project and key client work.

You'll have the choice to work in the office or in a hybrid capacity splitting your time between home and office - just whatever works best for you.

Ideally, you'll have a background in commercial broking and have a desire to return or continue in an independent broking setting.

Salary is from £32,000 to £40,000 plus benefits.
