Job description
A well-known, highly respected and independent insurance Broker based in Manchester is seeking an experienced Claims Manager to join their Broker function.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for the day-to-day management of the claims team while also handling a personal caseload of complex claims.
The Role
- Lead and manage a team of 3 Claims Handlers
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the claims function
- Handle and manage your own portfolio of claims
- Act as a senior point of escalation for complex or high-value claims
- Ensure excellent service delivery to clients and stakeholders
- Maintain strong relationships with insurers and Loss Adjusters
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven background in commercial claims within an insurance Broker environment
- Ideally experienced in handling professional indemnity and cyber insurance claims
- Previous experience managing or supervising a claims team
- Strong technical knowledge of claims processes
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with a personal caseload
