Development Executive - Commercial Insurance

Job description

This is one of the biggest names in the insurance game. If you work in regulated financial services and already have a network in the Scottish SME market, they want you.

Not to shuffle paperwork.

Not to "manage a pipeline" in a spreadsheet.

To get out in front of business owners and board directors.

To open doors, start conversations, and introduce them to one of the most respected broking brands in the world.

The Job

You'll be part of the UK sales engine room. The team that drives new business strategy, pipeline, and initiatives for the group.
Your brief is simple:

  • Use your network.
  • Meet decision makers.
  • Persuade them that this is the broker they should trust.

From there, you hand over to the technical insurance experts - the people who convert interest into signed clients. You focus on relationships, persuasion, and creating opportunities. They handle the detail.

The Toolkit

This firm covers every angle: risk management, employee benefits, and all the main commercial insurance lines - property, liability, cyber, financial lines, fleet, you name it.

You'll have the weight of the brand behind you, plus marketing, technical, and placement teams to support you.

Who You Are

  • Already in regulated financial services - maybe a bank relationship manager, maybe a professional services BDM.
  • Used to selling to SME decision makers - the £500k-£15m turnover bracket.
  • Comfortable in boardrooms and across coffee tables.
  • Wanting to break into the commercial insurance market without starting from scratch.

What's On Offer

  • £40k-£60k base + bonus + benefits
  • 15% bonus on all new business income
  • Hybrid setup - office, client visits, and home
  • The credibility of a global name with the freedom and feel of a smaller team

And if your CV isn't ready? Doesn't matter. If you've got the network and the mindset, we'll work that bit out later.
