Head of Risk Exposure

Job description

As the Head of Exposure Management your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of Exposure Management Analyst providing Nat Cat and Blast Zone exposure information across a +$500m portfolio
  • Encompasses all classes of 1st party business with a particular emphasis on Terrorism and North American Property and is designed to drive Exposure Management performance and assist in business strategy for the business
  • Leading a four strong team, plus outsourcing support, in providing utilisation levels per peril, geography and Class of Business
  • Managing the team and providing Aggregate Exposure assessments and reports in accordance with delegated authorities & management information requirements
  • Be the primary contact for the business regarding modelled exposures and develop excellent working relations with carriers and third-party vendors



Your skills will include:

  • Level of education - higher education and relevant professional qualifications
  • A high level of technical knowledge and understanding relating to the assessment of Nat Cat and Blast Zone exposures for all relevant classes of business
  • High level of knowledge and experience of AIR
  • Experience in the field of Aggregate Exposure management
  • Level of understanding in offshore platform / complex accumulation
  • Ability to prioritise workload and communicate as appropriate
  • A track record of successful team management
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to make complex topics simple
  • Focus on service provision
  • Excel & SQL (Advanced preferred)
