Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated North American Casualty Claims Specialist to join the London-based claims team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a market-leading Broker, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients with complex casualty claims across the United States and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of North American casualty claims, including general liability and excess/umbrella claims
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, insurers and legal representatives
- Provide expert guidance on claims strategy, coverage interpretation and reserving
- Monitor claims progress, ensuring timely updates and resolution
- Negotiate settlements where appropriate and support dispute resolution processes
- Analyse claims data to identify trends and provide risk management insights to clients
- Collaborate with broking teams to deliver a seamless client service
Key Requirements
- Proven experience handling North American casualty claims within a Broker or insurer
- Strong technical knowledge of US liability claims and litigation processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage complex claims with a proactive and solution-focused approach
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- ACII qualification (or working towards) is desirable
