As you know placement broking roles don't come around very often so when they do they don't stay around for long...

You will be working for a well respected charted broker who has had some great success across their business which means they, require a Placement Broker to assist with their growth plans.

This is a hybrid role where you would be required in the Bristol office 1/2 times a week.

As a Placement broker you will be responsible for the programme design and placement of specific industry business into the regional, and international insurance markets.

This will involve collating and managing clients that are at risk and policies that will be difficult to place. Work with colleagues to devise specific strategies for these cases.

You will be responsible for managing insurer relationships including regular meetings and keeping the team updated with outcomes, understand regional insurer landscape and make sure they understand opportunities and threats.

Broking Strategy - review existing placements and new business and identify alternative insurers where necessary, involvement with internal pre-renewal discussions where necessary, assist executives and handlers on cases difficult to place. You will also assist with improving actual broking capabilities of colleagues - including approach to markets/insurer engagement on a specific client/negotiation strategies.
