Job description

This specialist financial lines unit is being assembled to take advantage of a brilliant opportunity to develop its reach across the Scottish insurance space.

You'll be joining a team which will offer you rapid career progression as the team grows on the back of planned investment over the next 3 years.

Here you'll be working alongside a newly recruited team of financial lines professionals to trade professional indemnity business across the regional broker market.

You'll enjoy excellent flexibility working from home or within the Glasgow offices, essentially selecting how much time you want to spend in the office.

And here you'll be working for a major face in the financial lines market who'll play a huge role in mentoring you and shaping your future career as an Underwriter.

Much of your day to day here will be spent trading new and existing professional indemnity business although you'll also be very much operating in a broking facing capacity.

That means entertaining brokers at events, attending industry functions, technical seminars and popping out for regular meetings at your broking partner's offices.

You'll be joining a market-leading insurance group which is recognised as one of the very best employers in the specialist insurance industry.

You'll need a background in the insurance sector, ideally with experience or an interest in professional indemnity insurance.

Your experience can be from either an insurer, MGA or broker and ideally, you'll be based in commutable distance to Glasgow and the Central belt.

Salary here will be up to £45,000 plus benefits including market leading pension contribution and private medical.
