Senior Advice Technician

About the Role

As a Senior Advice Technician, you will play a key part in enhancing advisory outcomes by providing high-quality technical guidance at both the initial and final stages of the advice process. You will work closely with advisers and key stakeholders across the business, applying sound judgement on more complex cases and ensuring advice standards remain high.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide constructive technical support and insight to advisers on complex financial planning cases
  • Apply clear and informed professional judgement on cases carrying higher levels of risk
  • Respond to both routine and advanced technical queries, conducting in-depth research where required
  • Support enhanced post-audit reviews and contribute to maintaining advice standards
  • Assist the Advice Assurance team with induction, on-boarding and training of new recruits
  • Maintain advanced technical and regulatory knowledge through consistent CPD, aligned with the firm's T&C framework
  • Contribute to the technical development of other Advice Technicians through knowledge sharing and guidance

What We're Looking For

  • Chartered Financial Planner status, or working toward the final stages of achieving Chartered
  • A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and further qualifications
  • Excellent knowledge of personal and corporate financial planning and its regulatory requirements
  • Experience supporting financial advisers, including constructive review and feedback of case files (KYC, research, reports)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, cash-flow analysis tools and research systems
