We are seeing more and more Insurance Brokers specialising and becoming a trusted advisor in their own chosen market.

A well-regarded, independent insurance provider in the Midlands (Nottinghamshire) are looking to appoint a home-based BDM to head up an exclusive insurance scheme. A real, rare opportunity that will offer huge benefits to your career, as some say specialisation is the new way forward.

As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for a unique insurance product for a very specific, but growing industry.

The industry being the security box sector.

Remember back in the day when banks used to have storage boxes inside them which customers used to hire to hold their prized possessions in, such as expensive Jewellery and fine art?

Well, in more recent years Banks have had to remove these from their site, meaning more and more specialised Security Box Centres are popping up across the country. Over 100 in fact (That said, a little birdy tells me Gringotts Bank may still have some Vaults available! There's the link!)

These boxes need to be insured correctly via a specific Fine Art Policy. This is where your new employer steps in, they are the 'go to' main Insurance provider.

As a BDM, you won't have involvement in dealing with the actual customer hiring the security box, more interestingly you'll manage the relationships with the businesses, driving enquiries whilst identifying new Security Box centres to sign up.

You'll have the opportunity to work from home, manage your diary and be out in front of existing and prospective clients.

Joining this specialist High Net Worth Insurance business, this firm offer a family, independent feel. You'll report out of their Newark On Trent (East Nottinghamshire) office but you'll have an opportunity to work from home, with an expectation to be in the office only once a fortnight

This will be a target driven sales role, however you won't have loads of competitors to beat off, meaning you'll have more opportunity to be successful.

With the planned growth of the division, this role has every opportunity to progress into a much, larger role in future. For example 'Head of Partnerships' has been talked about.

A salary up to £45,000 (potentially higher depending upon the person) is on offer. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package including home working flexibility and car parking on site.

We are looking to talk to insurance professionals, with either commercial or High Net Worth/Personal lines experience, who have a track record of developing new business and retaining clients. Your face to face, relationship building skills combined with your insurance experience will help you shine within the business.. If you have B2B experience even better!

The majority of clients are based across the Midlands and Yorkshire so the role would suit an individual within these areas.
