Our client, a specialist leading insurer are looking for a candidate to join their team to handle a portfolio of higher value/more complex Professional Indemnity claims and assist customers when claims have been made or threatened against them.

The duties of the role include;
Full management of a portfolio of higher value, complex and challenging Professional Indemnity claims from first notification to conclusion.
Reviewing and confirming the policy coverage position.
Setting the claim strategy, handling internally where possible, with minimal reference to coverage counsel.
Selection, instruction and active management of external advisers and experts, including solicitors on appropriate matters.
Liaising and negotiating with customers, brokers, claimants, and their representatives, including attendance at mediation's, JSM's and court hearings.
Promoting and delivering a continuous improvement culture within the UK Casualty Claims team to deliver a superior customer experience.
Working closely with underwriters on business development, including renewal meetings and new tender propositions.

To be considered for this role, ideally you need to be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or CII claims professional with a number of years' experience in handling professional indemnity and management liability claims.
You must have strong policy coverage knowledge and experience across a broad range of policies and types of business.
Robust understanding of litigation and the legal process; knowledge of all methods of dispute resolution.
Experience of attending Court hearings, mediation's and JSM's.
Ability to evidence strong organisational and communication skills.

This role can be based in either York, Glasgow or Chelmsford and hybrid working is available…. You will be rewarded with a salary up to £65k + bonuses.
